is it? do you have large bogs, standing water,muck?Im in FLorida currently and was thinking of making the move to Anchorage to escape the swamp, but im not goin if the swamp is there too.

Wed, September 9, 2009 - 9:35 PMI think about 50% of the woods os swampy, but you have to go to the woods to get it. the islands are totally swampy. Hard to find dry spots to camp on at times. -

To behold the full majesty of Anchorage's swamplike aspect, attend a municipal Assembly meeting. From anywhere in town just follow your nose toward where the reek is strongest to find the meeting.

Mon, September 28, 2009 - 7:02 PMSwamplike and some warm springs but as you read Not like florida. Yeah I have been to Florida these are bogs with cranberrues and some places are blueberries. Some spectacular bird watching in these bogs and yup bear watching also ! To move to Alaska you would want to for the community or the woods and quiet. the bogs are the small stuff, theres other stuff to consider for an Alaskan move. Ask me this is my 2-th year here in Paradise ! There is more to Alaska then frozen tundra...... mmoose meat ahhh fresh salmon ! just to name my two favorites !
